Take Me Home My Eternal Father

Anointed with material desires,

I forgot You, my Eternal Father.

I wandered far away from You,

forgetting You, forgetting the path that leads me home.

Lost and trapped in this dark material world,

I cry out to You, yet my voice seems unable to reach You.

Bound by my own attachments,

I call to You in helplessness.

O my Eternal Father, help me.

Lift me out of this bondage and bring me near to You again.

Have mercy upon me.

I long to behold You,

but my eyes are veiled by material desires.

Remove this covering of ignorance,

and let me see You once more.

O my Eternal Father,

in Your infinite mercy,

please guide me back to my eternal home,

where I may dwell in Your presence forever
