Futility Of War

The Russia-Ukraine conflict has affected everybody

Wanting to conquer Ukraine in a snap

But haven’t even after day-30

The people who are getting harmed are ordinary citizens

Everyone suffers- the grownups and the children

Children are missing school and living in a bomb shelter

No place to stay, study or play

Seeing so much blood and gory

Will leave a permanent scar and erode away hope

Economic and environmental conditions suffer

Has WWIII begun?

Is now an exceedingly popular question

Children too in Afghanistan are vulnerable and pregnable

Taliban should not have been violent but amiable

The battle is aberrant, unacceptable and deviant

What Vladimir Putin and the rulers of Afghanistan

Started is unlawful

Were they right to break rules?

Like fumbling and dumb fools!

The fight has led to consequences and sanctions

Has it proved to be gruesome, or has it led to satisfaction?

4,35,35,000 are suffering in Ukraine

Whlls Afghanis battle it out daily

For clean water, food and basic education

While others' futures are getting destroyed

They claim troops have started to retreat

The damage done can be seen

Fires, shells to live and poverty

Panic, terror and anxiousness fill the air

Let's eagerly hope and pray

The choice they make will save the day

The only thing we can do is wait and watch
