largest Buddhist

Mahabihar was built.

The Kelua river that flows near

Lalitgiri was full of natural

beauty, there were three

campuses on three hills,

Mahabihar was attached

to each other. Till the middle

of the twentieth century

"Puspagiri" was in

behind of sight. In less

than two decades, our

eyes have been opened,

after rescued from

archaeological

excavations !! 

Some facts about the 

"dark past" have been

 revealed, that there are still

many more secrets

hidden !! 

According to the Chinese

traveler ' Huen Sang' - 

The ancient University

of Pushpagiri was

contemporary of 

Nalanda and Takshashila.

Collected during the

archeological excavations,

many archaeological

sculptures, Brahmi

inscriptions, Pharaoh made

of stone, terracotta

seals, pillars of various

shapes are now

stored in the museum.

On the east side, on the top

of Lalitgiri / Langudi hills,

beautiful architecture of

Buddhist monastery, Buddha

statues in meditation, 

holy places of worship 

and study places.

The "Puspagiri Mahabihar",

which combines the three

hills of the Diamond Triangle.

The tourist center has been

developing since the

announcement and is

attracting tourists.

The oldest ' Puspagiri ' was

the main center of Buddhist

propaganda and higher

education !! Buddhist monks

Battle of Kalinga, Emperor
