Forever Caged
Forever Caged
All my life I lived in a cage,
And everyday I looked out with rage.
I was tired of the same old faces I got to see
While waiting patiently for a miracle to flee.
But then, I looked out and saw a bird in pain
Who had crashed into a window in the rain.
Drenched in a puddle, it cried and cried
For no one helped it even when the water dried.
The next day I saw it die in pain
And was washed by the mighty rains into the drain.
Never again did I want to fly away
Coz it was too scary to die this way.
