Fireflies
Fireflies

In the callow glare of dusk
Within incense of the gory husk
As setting was the fireball
Drowning the star night shall befall
In the deafening sound of might
In the blinding flash of light
Everything was silent
When the innocent child opened his eyes, there was death, destruction and violence…
Moths were drawn to the flames
Wise men turned insane
Buildings and structures reduced to dust
Demons were crawling with blood lust
In ashes, ashes humanity fell down
Smiles were replaced with tears and frowns
Tiny palm had no finger to hold
To cuddle his mother an infant rolled
In that heart-breaking, devastating sight
Two innocent eyes saw in awe, alluring infinite fireflies…
