Voice It Out

I kept looking in the mirror,

To only find him come nearer.

Was it just my thought,

Or a constant fear of being caught.

In the dark out, I dreaded a stranger,

A strong sense of being in danger.

How far can I escape the situation,

Will this unceasingly be a caution from my nation?

Is India truly guarded for a daughter,

Or does she have to live the jitters of her slaughter?

Enough of the alarming news of murder & rape,

Its time to stand strong & not let them escape. 

Be the change for the ruthless ravisher,

Hold up high to be a tough challenger.

Promise oneself that you won’t give in,

Move ahead firm coz it's all within!
