I Could Be.

And a day will come, when I will devour myself,

In these books and pages.

These paragraphs will be my city,

These sentences, my home.

These words, my new self.

I will be the word you perceived me as,

Could be 'Love' as that was all I needed,

Before I lost my material form.

Could be 'Hate' as I was dark,

A suppressed villain. A qualm.

I could be 'Kite' for I always dreamt of soaring high.

I could be 'Mystery' for I never grasped,

Who indeed was I?

I could be 'Rain', I could be 'Vain',

I could be your never-ending 'Pain'.

I could be 'Rise', I could be 'Fall',

I could be the 'Phenomenon' you do not know at all.

I could be 'Satanic", I could be 'Divine',

A ray of hope to you, I could be 'Sunshine'.

I could be 'All', I could be 'None',

I could be the 'Battle' that you never won.

But above all I chose to be,

A blend of 'Life', 'Death', 'Sorrow', and 'Glee'.
