Fiesty

Dragging me down this lane,

Laden with sorrows and only blames,

Sulking face, teary eyes,

And this burden of the concealed lies.

Only dust will remain,

Hollow thoughts of an empty man,

Regrets, broken promises have kept me awake always,

Bruised, Battered... So lost in this maze.

Dark clouds above my head is the only thing I see,

Cluttering thoughts revolving, churning, eating away a part of me,

I am not ME any more, self doubts have taken over long before,

Who is this stranger that i see in the mirror.

Tie me, silence me, push me down a river,

I promise I wont make a sound or quiver,

Now I have no fright or regrets,

I see right through you and your mistakes.

Fade away oh troubled times,

No more crushing weight on these broken shoulders of mine,

Cold and dreary mornings feels like a bliss now,

Still kept my head high and I am standing somehow.

I may be a speck in the design of God,

I may be minuscule in his world,

But I am feisty, I am brave, I have might,

Will not accept defeat without a fight.

So come with your guns blazing,

I am right here standing,

Unmoved, unfazed...

Letting your thumps ricochet.
