Festivities
Festivities
Pristine immaculate floor
Embellish rangolis near door.
Chandan, roli, and flowers,
On deity is showered.
Reverently the bells ring,
As devotees in pooja sing.
Chants vibrate in the air
Whilst the fire in lamps flare.
Purging the firmament
Smoke from camphor ascent.
It’s the time when Devi descends,
From her abode of heavenly legend.
Festivities percolate down
To every nook and corner of town.
Devotees surrender and shine,
Feeling one with the divine!
