Empty Big Dream

It began with

the clear blue sky

Splashed with orange hues bright

as the promised future

Along the sandy beach I was

looking over the azure sea wide

with possibilities

With one goal in mind to

catch the biggest fish

enough to savour a hundred

Into a green boat I hopped

sailing my way through the silvery waters

Up and down the boat went

with more challenges ahead

Long and hard I casted my

net with all my strength

musing over a big catch

waiting and waiting

each time it was pulled out it

was always empty
