I don't look dreamy, said the clouds to the sky.

I don't look weary, said sleep to my eyes.

I don't seem lovely, said the moon to the sun.

I don't seem witty, said sarcasm to pun.

I can't shine brightly, said the stars to darkness.

I can't be mighty, said the mountains to the wilderness.

I am not serene, said the river to the oceans.

I am not lengthy, said the meetings to occasions.

I am unimportant, said life to death.

I am not a poet, said my pen to my request.

I am not strong, said my happiness to my grief.

I am not solemn, said my soul to my beliefs.
