Dreams and Nightmares

Dreams and Nightmares

1 min
164

When the shadows sleep

Nightmares rise, dreams all,

Take a flight

Lingering on our minds,

For longer than a while.

Soporific when ruptures,

Eyes on the sides crinkle,

Lips twist up or down

To smile, or to scowl.

For we were meant,

To brace and recline

Instead, here we are

Agitating not sprawling.

Slumber wasn’t meant to,

Be fragmented by,

Nightmares and dreams,

Yet it is being.
