Dream

Hand in hand we strolled the pastures

The woody smell lingered in our breath

Morning dews kissed my bare feet

And I blushed in your warmth;

Sunshine touched your unkempt hair

And playfully you removed my hat

I snuggled close, much close, 

Our puffs whispered to each other,

Fingers entwined, hearts drumming

Dreams melted in each other's eyes

Tongues tasted the unknown flavours;

The cooing cuckoo, the twittering sparrows

The grasshopper and the buzzing bees

Awakened me from my magical slumber

Only to make me realise "dreams with open eyes never comes true!"
