Don't Ever Make Me Feel Small.

Don't Ever Make Me Feel Small.

2 mins 154 2 mins 154

I’ve never felt so small,

Until the day you called me "a weak doll",

Oh, I was shivering and shuddering,

There was no one, to whom I could be complaining,

You asked me how I was;

“Okay.” Was my response.

You have always insulted me,

That was something I never wanted to see,

Along the seashore, I used to sit by,

Telling myself that it was okay to cry,

You asked me how I was;

“Okay.” Was my response.

All the shouting and the yelling,

All the howling and the screaming,

Has left me empty from inside,

I know you will never apologize,

But, still, you asked me how I was;

And still, “Okay.” Was my response.

But, let me tell you today,

I was never Okay!

In spite of your ugly words,

I still flew as free as a bird.

When all my hopes came crashing down,

I heard you laugh like a clown.

I’m no Athena or Hera,

I’m no Mahatma or Indira,

You told me to do everything without a flaw,

I told you, “I’m no James Bond.”

The distance between us is of a mile,

But still, you can see my proud smile.

Oh please, so please;

Don’t think I’m weak,

I can make your future Oh, so bleak!

All my hopes are now soaring high,

I’ve got no time to sit and cry.

Yes, I am a doll,

What about Wonder Woman, the indestructible, as they call?

Oh! I am so strong,

I will always get up when I fall.

So don’t ever make me feel small,

Don’t ever make me feel small.
