Diwali- A Walk Down The Memory Lane
Diwali- A Walk Down The Memory Lane
This amazing festival of light has always been close to my heart
This isn't just a festival of light, it's a celebration of life, happiness, and everything we have.
I cherish the memories of celebrating this festival with my family as a child, and it's such a blessing that I can still recall them
The memories seem so recent as if they just happened yesterday.
Our excitement and enthusiasm for celebrating this festival every year prompted us to eagerly await its arrival every year
However, the festival preparations were just as enjoyable as the festival itself.
We all remember the days when, as kids, we oversaw cleaning our rooms and making them tidy
Fresh paint, cleanliness, and the smell of fresh paint filled my home with happiness.
The new dress brought by the parents was the most exciting part of the celebration.
We kids didn't understand fashion, but we knew the new dress made us look pretty and different.
Furthermore, who looked the best in their dresses? The competition extended beyond just the family but also included friends.
As a matter of fact, it was the event for dressing up and getting the highest level of applause.
Lights glowed in every corner of the house, making it feel as if we were at a festival of lights.
We were reminded how
beautiful and colorful life is by the sparkle of the lights.
On the day of the festival, we eagerly waited to perform the pooja
Participating in the pooja ritual and sitting with everyone felt blessed.
As much as we were excited about participating in the pooja, the elders who answered our questions during the pooja made us feel significant as well.
There were so many sweets, especially when your favorite sweets were ordered, it felt like a sweet festival.
Our favorite part was the burning crackers. Although we were scared, we had to act bravely in front of our friends.
There was so much excitement, cracking crackers with family and friends
When everyone came together to celebrate, the world seemed so small.
In spite of all the excitement, there was still one thing that topped it all
Through this festival, we learned to share happiness and to always remember how grateful we are for all that life has provided for us
I will never forget this wonderful lesson in life.
The cherished memories of celebrating the festival as a kid still give me goosebumps
However, every Diwali I create memories that I'll cherish for a lifetime
Life is a beautiful journey, after all. Celebrating it with your loved ones makes it even more special.
