Devoid of light

Devoid of light

Each day dawns with a mocking glare

No answers found, only blank stares

When the darkness fades away and lights sees new dawn

When the beauty of the soul lives and glows like a fawn

I no longer compare myself to other's perfection

Or wander myself for other's reflections

Failures piled high, dreams in dust

A hollow existence ,filled with disgust

I am what I am,who else would be

I won't bend but going to be me

Each breath a weight, burdened with despair

Crushed beneath the weight of relentless care

For this is the reality stark and grim

No silver lining,no hopeful hymn

In the depths of unanswered pleas

A soul languishes on bended knees

Just the weight of a life that's lost

A broken spirit ,paying the cost

With the morning's light or evening rest

Only a cycle of emptiness in thought

I sweep with the wind and feel the breeze flow

Dream ,achieve can will be the words that naturally grow

In the shadows, forgotten, unseen

A ghost in a world where they have never been

A life adrift, devoid of cheer

Mired in the muck, drowning in fear

An outsider in this realm of life

Trapped in endless struggle, devoid of strife

An existence barren,devoid of grace

A soul adrift in this desolate place

Breathing mud ,no purpose in sight

Lost in the darkness, devoid of light
