Depression
Depression
It's in the depth of
The fake smiles and silences
Where our pain resides,
It's in the depth of our hearts
Where the feelings are buried,
Locked up and sealed for
Nobody to see what's inside,
It's a large wall we create
For ourselves in order to protect us,
From the things that may penetrate,
From the things that can harm us,
From the people who may demotivate,
We may seem very quiet upfront
But there are screams
That keeps echoing deep inside
It's a feeling that none can comprehend,
But always felt by those
Who deals with them every time,
It's a long term battle
That never seems to end,
Yet we claim to others
That everything is fine,
It's hard to explain something
That we don't quite understand,
Harder to forget what we deal with each day,
How we battle it hard to
Keep some peace inside,
We suffer from the memories of our pasts
That never leaves us alone,
It's a pain that needs to be dealt with,
Yet there's no one is ready to hear
The voice trapped inside,
How long are we going to dampen our pain
In fears of realizing its seriousness?
How long would we keep avoiding them
Thinking they will subside?
Isn't life about spreading happiness?
Then, why do we still hesitate to
Help each other to heal from inside?
