Departure

The other day we met,

Your eyes moist and wet.

But never did I realise

It's departure knocking at the gate!

Smilingly I bid goodbye

Confident of meeting again

But little did I know

You would never come again!

Never did I complain

Of those loneliness and pain!

While those incessant tears I shed,

What hurts me the most is

How merciless is fate!

Still hopeful I become of meeting you again

Because someday,somewhere and sometime

Will unite the earth with heaven in pain !
