Dancing In The Rain
Dancing In The Rain
We are going out, she said in excitement,
in the gentle summer rain
After years of yearning, I could not stop myself
to feel drenched in threadbare cloth
That would cling on to me like a sheath
To smell the parched earth and adore the smile on her face
please come with me, I agreed
We paddled about cautiously
I was protected while she was letting her feet feel the muddy waters
Swaying hands and dancing toes was all I could see
Rain drops adding to her charm, I let myself go
Without bothering about the world around me
I kept my pace and the rain added to her grace
We cherished every moment and every drop of the rain..
Falling on us from the heavenly drain
We were wrapped in its warm shimmering embrace
Glowing with the desire to be together
It was the last day, last few moments.
Of the time we could never get back
But in our memory it will remain
the first time, we danced together in the rain…
