Curious About What To Do Next!

Curious About What To Do Next!

When we were young,

With all our heart and mind, we sung,

That when we grow up,

We would do what all grown-ups do,

They eat what suits them, go where they want to,

Dress the way, not how their mother but people liked,

Oh, what freedom we may have, we think

When we grow up for ourselves to ink!

As we are a little older, we find,

There is so much to do, that little handwork, that nice painting,

To practice the favorite game of sports, to learn a little snack cooking,

The most we want to do is to hop about with friends for long hours,

But then remember mother's errands to do, be a helping hand at home,

Most important of all, a syllabus to cover up in time, is the aim.

It seems like the ocean horizon, hard to tell where the end line is;

And in time we know it is never reachable,

The only hope there we have, is mother, always ready to help

Who, even though she knows it to be out of her scope,

Like God Almighty she gathers insurmountable knowledge

To help her child sail through the problem and never give up courage.

When we are older and have duties to perform,

Some are professionals nurturing their careers, some are investors

Or become people with known faces, the life vehicle to gear

Most of us now have our young ones around us;

Life for us has changed, now that we think twice about our demands

For the way we want to live and to do what we want

Is now a serious decision and are full of commitments to our own ones.

'Mother I need help', now when we exclaim,

Where is Mother! We try to reach out,

May be at a long distance the aged hand tries to hurriedly get the call

Or she has become the ever-blessing photograph on the wall.
