Crestfallen Dreams

Crestfallen Dreams

In shadows cast by love's embrace,

heart once whole, now laid to waste.

Upon the jagged rocks of fate,

Shattered dreams now lie prostrate.

In whispers soft, we pledged our troth,

Two souls entwined, inseparable growth.

But seasons change, and winds do blow,

And love's sweet bloom began to slow.

As petals fell, the cracks appeared,

A fragile heart, once so revered.

In fractured moments, trust undone,

Our love, a fading, setting sun.

Like silent tears in darkest night,

A heartache's song, a woeful plight.

The echoes of your laughter, gone,

Replaced by silence, so withdrawn.

Through tear-streaked nights,

I sought a way,

To mend the pieces, make them stay.

But love's a fickle, fleeting art,

And healing balm, too weak to start.

In memories' embrace, I find,

A love that once, so brightly shined.

Yet now, the pain, it grips so tight,

A heart left cold in endless night.

But time, the healer, moves ahead,

With weary steps, I dare to tread.

And though the heartbreak leaves its mark,

In time, I'll find a brand new spark.

For love's a tapestry, woven fine,

With threads of joy and threads of thine.

Though heartbreak rends the fabric true,

New hope will rise, and life renew.

So, as I journey through this pain,

I'll seek the sun through tears like rain.

In heartbreak's wake, I'll learn to grow,

And find myself, through letting go.
