Nations are at a war – not with conventional weapons;

It is fought with life- saving medicines and ventilator;

Virus- that can’t be seen in the naked eyes is the perpetrator.

In the grip of fear – nations tremble;

With lock down being the order of the day – economies crumble;

Owing to unprecedented emergency – health systems too tumble.

From Euro to Ruble, currencies are in a queue to get into the rubble.

Across the globe, death rates rise and at times double;

Survival is what differentiates a diseased from the deceased;

With collective efforts, every life- saving opportunity is seized.

Hippocrates would have been happier to see his oath becoming a reality;

At this supremely dangerous moment of unimaginable calamity.

Ambulance drivers, sanitary workers , police, army,

Nurses and doctors endure abuses, pelting of stones and curses.

Every warrior applies more knowledge than what they learnt in their professional courses.

Care for lives is every government’s priority;

Policies are dictated by the existing reality.

Pandemic has put into test the collective will and wisdom of humanity.

Lives are at risk – everyone is in the eye of the storm;

Brute force of the tiny virus is set to unleash harm;

Humanity in us manifesting in terms of charity;

The emerging scenario appears to be the least prophesied phase of rarity.

Skeptics would question the “Law of karma” which doesn’t exclude any act including the killing of a pandemonium of parrots;

Bible – the holy gospel talks about the great plague that befell due to the exodus of Jews in the land of pharos;

Sufferings drive people into deep realization;

COVID 19 has caused the catastrophe of unimaginable proportions since the dawn of human civilization.
