Could I Metaphorize any less?
Could I Metaphorize any less?
The poem articulates the positive overwhelmingness one gets while thinking about the love and wisdom that life lessons instill. Parallelly, an appreciation of fantasy and reality is made, both as essential components for healthy living.
Tonight I want to write about Brooks
The Brooks of love and wisdom,
About the galaxies that prevail within
And encapsulate the stars,
As your existence traverses through epiphanies.
Tonight I want to write about the unicorn
That sits with me as I do reverie
And ceases to exist as I come into contact with reality
Tonight I do not want to write about the transmundane
But the window of the room that lets the moonlight in.
Now that I recollect
I see galaxies through which flies the unicorn
That springs across those brooks
And makes me too overwhelmed to write
I think to myself
Could I metaphorize any less?
I see reality through which flies the unicorn
Across all the love and wisdom and fearlessly unwinding from the wrath of time.
