Corruption
Corruption
Corruption, oh cancer of society,
A venom that spreads, with great anxiety,
A web of lies, deceit and greed,
That taints our world, with an evil seed.
It's a wolf in sheep's clothing, a serpent's tongue,
A rot that festers, and can't be undone,
It eats away at the fabric of trust,
And leaves in its wake, a trail of rust.
It's a shadow that lurks, in the darkest of places,
A poison that seeps, in the most unexpected spaces,
It's a disease that spreads, with a silent force,
And takes hold of everything, like a deadly horse.
It's a thief in the night, that steals our dreams,
A nightmare that haunts, with its vile schemes,
It's a storm that rages, with an unstoppable might,
And leaves nothing but destruction, in its wake of blight.
It's a cancerous growth, that spreads with ease,
A plague that infests, and can't be appeased,
It's a rot that eats, at the heart of our society,
And leaves us with nothing, but emptiness and anxiety.
Oh, corruption, you are the bane of our existence,
A curse that tarnishes, with relentless persistence,
May we fight against you, with all our might,
And banish you forever, from our world's sight.
