Cherish While It Lasts
Cherish While It Lasts
Not every song makes sense to everyone;
A few selective tunes resonated peace to me;
As those tunes kept reminding me
The Meaninglessness of my mundane routine,
I chose not to listen to them…
Responsibilities of family, work and society
Kept on playing a jarring music in disharmony:
My senses grew numb to those chaotic cries,
They trapped me in the materialistic monotony
For decades of mindless madness…
When I notice shining silver strands on my head,
Noises numb my senses are heard no more;
My heart chambers are filled with echoing emptiness;
I try to recall the music resonated peace,
But my hearing aid doesn’t help any more…
