Celebrating Life
Celebrating Life
These old, trembling bones make me realize,
oh God, how I have wasted my life!!!
No toys, no games ... just books,
that's how in my memories my lonely childhood looks.
I grew older, learned well how to make money.
But while chasing success, I kept losing its key.
I grew richer and richer, day by day,
but emotions kept fading away.
The world knows me as a budding tycoon,
but today I find myself caged in a cocoon.
No friends to acknowledge my fame,
neither a family to expand my name.
My loneliness makes me realize,
it's The Exodus
moment..."no more slavery of Life".
Walking down my self made gallows and thoughts running wild,
my attention was caught by this stranded child.
In the middle of the traffic, he was stuck,
when I rescued him from getting run over by a truck.
As they say "the child is the father of the man",
in him, I found a reason to live again.
I'll teach him to live every day as if it's his last,
to be self-content, kind to others, and also to have a blast.
I gave him life, and he gave me a reason to stay alive.
Thank God, I have one more chance to celebrate my life!!!
