Cat O' Nine Lives
Cat O' Nine Lives
Your tears of sorrow are seeds of my hope,
Your death, my life,
It is your terrible loss, yet it is a gift to me.
Through your darkness, shines my future,
I am neither a butcher nor a vulture,
I am a mother, looking for a suitor.
I feel your pain, your lamentation,
Of a wound that may never heal.
But I have to accomplish my mission,
Words unspoken and emotions frozen,
I kneel before you, in supplication,
Seeking the kidney of your only son,
Before his cremation.
Your heart is beyond repair, broken,
Yet, you make a donation,
Without a hint of hesitation.
Saving my son, indeed his reincarnation,
It is a good omen, now our lives are interwoven.
Today, I understood a lesson,
That we humans have the competence,
To gift a life to as many as nine humans,
And cure many a man’s deterioration,
Through twenty five different tissues and organs,
Organ donation, the reason for my celebration.
Esteemed proverbial cat,
You are not the only one with nine lives,
For I have pledged my organs,
That my soul will not need in heaven.
My death, your life,
Amen, our lives are indeed interwoven.
