Burning The Midnight Oil
Burning The Midnight Oil
To afford the luxury,
The luxury of eating three meals a day,
To pay for the education for the children,
We work all the time,
Resting is enemy for the mediocre,
Which makes it more mediocre,
That's what we have listened to while growing up,
We work to improve our life,
Burdened by the bills,
Increased prices,
We were still mediocre,
Who hides the illness to not miss the wages,
Our stories are ordinary,
You might be unheard of us,
We do exist in the same society,
Where people party and snore for a longer time,
While we are burning the midnight oil to survive.
