Bon Voyage
Bon Voyage
When you thus go away,
all my happy moments
march after you to see you safely home.
My lips pawn their smiles unto yours.
Dreams, without seeking permission
fly like homing birds to your eyes.
My limbs go limp, bereft of your cues.
My heart, which goes tango in your presence
suddenly stops short like Cinderella at the warning sign.
When I hear no more of you,
my ears refuse to receive anything else of a sound.
The tongue becomes a perpetual sloth.
When you thus go away, my dear
I see the sea, a distant roar,
my gills crave for air,
I die my death..
