BEYOND THE RATIONAL (Nov. 23. Theme: Alien)

The march of Time is a mechanism that’s alien to us.

We, the humans, abide by it without creating much fuss

Who made Time and how can light years be calculated?

We are small creatures in the cosmos, having all our energies stimulated –

God is a concept which pacifies and satiates our curiosity-

Without the Ultimate Supreme Power, we’d have questioned all absurdity.

Alien are the things man cannot define by reason or rational,

They are strange encounters as they come in lives in manner intentional.

Strange are the ways of the Universe, they hold us in mesmerism –

The sense of wonder is essential in our lives: it’s a truism.

From where do the birds arrive and where do they go?

What lies above in the skies; who made us reap as we sow?

Things beyond human intellect baffle us, as they are alien –

We are the terrestrial; we belong to species homo sapien.
