Be It Matter Or Life

Everything whatever  

Receives energy from the surrounding 

And consumes the same 

Be it matter or life 

And surely a time will come

When matter will learn 

To imbibe more energy 

And consume it to a greater extent 

Like the living organisms 

And then the trees 

And the plants 

And the stones will chat with you 

During the twilight hours.
