Be Human First

Give me a break from conservative thoughts,

Also, from the shackles of traditions; Orthodox.

I want to be just me,

Let me live my life, as I want to be.

Don't judge me for my external appearance,

For my skin and my size;

Also, for the clothes, I preferred, but you didn't like.

Above all for the choices, I made in my life,

What type of daughter, mother, and wife?

I love myself for my imperfections,

As I'm a human being after all;

Try to pass through that standard for thyself,

Before setting the one for myself.
