A Letter to My Son
A Letter to My Son
Adolescent you are....ready to take a flight;
Try to understand a mother’s plight.
Carrying, guilt for being a working soul;
Afraid! might have missed some of your milestones.
Worked harder to make up what you might have missed;
Time was running out like sand from my fist.
How do you know, surprised you asked;
each time you tried to hide and I unmasked.
Now you know the trick and how-to ploy;
For me, you are still the same innocent boy.
Caught once reading book inside a book;
Now is The Era of e-school and multiple windows to look.
Be blessed always my dear explore it slow;
Take a step after step please do not outgrow.
On the way remember some of the keys;
Try to be as humble as you can be.
Be Determined and generous as you Proceed;
Show some gratitude when you succeed.
There will be a time you would like to look back;
Make sure you don’t find any heavy sack.
Love, live and laugh and do good deeds;
Content and fulfilling life I wish you indeed.
