As the Years go by
As the Years go by
As the years go by
The photos become clearer
But our memories begin fading
The sky becomes hazier
And the buildings become blatant
As connections happen more
The conversations start failing
The city feels brighter
But the hearts are hating
The houses are getting bigger
But the people have been forsaken
The populace is living longer
Even then, time is still hasting
The world is now smaller
But the distance stays glaring
There is music more than ever
But the silence is blaring
The horizons are larger
Yet the genders keep suffering
The stars are getting more stardom
Yet the empires are tumbling
The scope for opinions is wider
But the intent is weakening
The keyboards are being smashed harder
However results are still incoherent
The governments are fiercer
Yet idolism is somehow relevant
There are countries going under
But mankind remains irreverent
The truths turn farther
And the lies are prominent
Living is now tougher
There really isn’t any sentiment
Communities split in quarter
Leaving nothing but sediment
Corruption is extensive and major
There is fault in each and every element
Schools and colleges smother
Than smoke in a closed apartment
Freedom is a myth, oppression a victor
Going against majority, only an insurgent
Labels on him, that, us and her
Honesty, gratitude, respect seem ancient
A day, a week, a month, a year
Generations passed by, but the emotion is consistent.
