An Ode to Women

Being a woman is a pride on it's own
Working 24×7 , From dusk till dawn
Did she complain atleast for once?
And went to take a nap after the afternoon lunch?
Dozen of roles she plays alone
Bogged down with responsibilities since the day she is born
Emotinally sensitive , Yet bold and strong
She dedicates her life to all , forgetting about her own self 
A journey of her hair turning from black to grey
Whether it's household chores or work
She manages everything with perfection beyond words
It's said that worship them as idols
Then why do I see people not happy after their arrival?
Why are they considered as burdens?
Struggling for their identity, althroughout the nation
Do you have the courage to bear a child in your womb?
For 9 months, Nurturing with love and food
Will you be able to survive the pain?
Of stiches and marks that lasts forever
Hiding everything behind a smile, learning how to sustain 
If you can't take the challenge, then it's better you don't speak
And take women for granted, considering them weak
Why are they considered inferior than men?
Generations passed by but till now why everything is the same
Society adapted to the changes, became modern
But what about their thoughts which are still so blurr
Who will change the way they think?
Why does this gender biasness still exist?
All I have to say is that you are no one to hold them back
They belong to the skies ,
So let them spread their wings and fly high
You are no one to set boundaries
Because they are limitless to strive
The wonderful creation of almighty, learn to respect them
You are lucky , if you have them
Because they are a blessing from heaven
They are gifted with the power to heal everybody around
With the desire to claim the sky, Yet rooted to the ground
They can make the impossible tasks possible
And have the power to conquer the world
They can be as calm as moonlight and as harsh as sunlight
Presenting new versions every single day, isn't it a wonderful delight?
But it makes me so upset when living in 20th century ,
Still getting to see women being assaulted on streets 
It's s such a big shame
Time to speak up , become our own voice
Walk among the crowd, with elegance and poise
She fills every home with happiness
With her kind demeanour and liveliness 
Brings smiles on millions of faces 
When united , breaks all myths and racial prejudices
She takes care of everyone around her
A heart filled with love, ready to prosper
Don't stop them, let them shine bright
Soar High, achieve those greater heights
Being a woman is not easy , we play a dozen roles
I salute every woman , with my kindered soul
