Almost Time For Dinner

Have you ever given a thought of world peace?

Seems almost like a dream to me.

When was the last time you left your home with the hope of coming back?

I feel so insecure in my own land.

Every night is a nightmare.

Daddy, when are you coming back home?

You left home with promises of gifts to bring.

Daddy, its getting late and almost time for dinner.

Echoes of war cries yelled long ago still can be heard with ache in my heart.

Brother and brother neck to neck.

Our world's torn apart, it's turning to ashes.

We are united by one God, torn apart in the name of different religions.

They speak 'peace' in a different tone.

I just need peace, a good bed to rest.
