Agreed To Lose, One Last Time!

Imprisoned within, all her senses granted

was a helpless smile

the accumulated pride, an envisioned solidity,

the controlled reflexes

every bit was just slipping away!

The heart desired a narrow escape,

but the body stood there

firm and unguarded!

Breaking the numb,

the mind denied the collapse, it cued

a voice “This is not your Story..”

Thereafter the battle commenced,

Desperation and injured vanity

bartered justification!

But the eyes had no discomfort

It stared at him mourning

for the loss of soul.

A soul that was buried long back,

cremated into ashes of loathe..

A soul that was shattered by the

chunk of infidelity,

A soul that somehow wanted to

relive again, bestowing the entire

existence upon him,

A soul who forms a camaraderie

with misfortune, one more time!

But someday she might get up, with

no intent to fall again, someday she might

resolute to reside, this time for own self
