Adios Diwali!

As Diwali's sparkles fade away

As Monday dawns, dark and grey

The crackers' boom, the lights' glow

Now echoes of memories that won't go

The sweets and snacks, a fleeting delight

Now guilt and cravings that haunt through the night

But duty calls, and responsibilities too

Monday blues, after Diwali's hue

So here I'll be, in this Monday haze

Missing Diwali's warmth and dazzling daze

But still I'll find, a glimmer of cheer

And hope that next Diwali's near.
