A Walk Down The Memory Lane
A Walk Down The Memory Lane
As I walked down the dark street, unaware of the people who took the lead
Somewhere in the middle of December, not precisely do I remember
Thoughts of her crossed my mind, thoughts that I'd left behind
As I walked down the dark street, unaware of the people who took the lead
Remembering the first meeting, the cup of tea,
The soothing walk across the sea
Tears shed, the joys we shared,
Promises made, the way we cared
As I walked down the dark street, unaware of the people who took the lead
Pretty she was, exuberant too,
Amazing huge eyes with a greenish hue
A mate in her I'd found,
Someone to whom my truths I did profound
As I walked down the dark street, unaware of the people who took the lead
Realizing things weren't how they used to be,
It was the memories that got the better of me
I know time will soon do the mend,
The dark night will soon have to end
But for now the darkness stays
And so in my dreams she still slays.
