A Silver Lining
A Silver Lining

A deadly disease or a deadly sin
To make this end we have to begin
Begin our solace in the most discomfort
Start slow with a small spirited effort
Step up to the task and not step aside
Control your anxieties and just stay inside
It may be difficult no one said it may not be
But that's the only way for us to be free
You call it corona or 19 COVID
Standing together in unison will surely make it timid
We all are in this together even without hand in hand
Let us show the world how tall we stand
Time to be a soldier, a soldier for our motherland
No recognition, but the reward around this is for us to understand
No protecting the borders no use of artillery
Hospitality to an Indian is no hidden mystery
Sing your heart out dance to the weirdest beat
Sketch with the little ones, take the driver's seat
Play games together, revisit the old times
Do all the little things that ring the melancholy chimes
Spend time with your loved ones in this phase so hostile
Be optimistic and live life every day with a big bright smile
Life is a gift and life is at stake
Don't give it away, savour it, whatever it may take.
