A Rose

I want to reach the heights,

Just to scream,

I want to catch the sun close,

Just to burn,

I want to see the sky get dark,

Just to shine,

I want to hold the stars up-close,

Just to make a wish,

Holding a rose to the sky,

I felt I have fallen,

Those thorns are hurting me,

But I never thought I'll bleed,

These remind me of you,

Hurting me,

Holding me,

At the same time,

I'll pick the petals one by one,

Like you broke me into pieces,

I'll pick myself up too,

Just to fall again into you,

The gravity, the silent night, 

Even the dark sky held up high,

Didn't throw the stars at me,

Like you have thrown the thorns at me,

Hurting me,

Holding me,

All at the same time.
