A Phase

A Phase

As i sit here

Wishing it was just a phase

I know it's a lie

Because lately even sunsets have had haze.

The sky has become unpredictable

Just like my mind

That wanders way more than ever,

In unknown wynds.

The moon seems to have lost its shine.

Why does the world look so dull and blind?

There's a smell of perplexity

Even the trees seemed to have given in to destiny.

In my gloomy days

I've found the birds laughing at my face

As though mocking my weak heart

"She looks so unmerited to be an art".

To add onto the melancholy

I see dark clouds in the sky

Proceeding as slowly as a sloth

But singing its own lullaby.

"It's perhaps time for me to go in

I should better get some rest

For I know another day is about to begin

To try and fail at getting back my zest."
