A Night Of Mischief
A Night Of Mischief
I bid farewell to my morals
Like the sun does to its light,
Covered by dusk, to embrace the night.
Burning like embers of elm,
Fading gracefully in the afterglow
To welcome an evening
Of guilty pleasures and hot chocolate.
And tonight, when the ambushed moon
Beams with an ivory gleam
I'll let life flow into your arms
And touch your soul
With a tenderness of feathers.
I linger in a taste of forever
On the tip of your tongue.
So, tell those stars
Hiding behind the curtain of clouds,
To look the other way
For, today I aim to misbehave.
