A lovely sapphire

I was once a lovely sapphire,

but they took me for their desire.

I was never just a nerd,

but was a beautiful free bird.

I wanted to be more than just classmates,

I always tried to match their high-class tastes.

What was my mistake in being someone silent,

why they always have to be with me so violent.

I always thought the school will give me friends,

but why was everyone mad towards the trends.

I never wished for anyone's doomed life,

but what they always did with me, made me thrive.

In the end, I learned this thing,

that for them only outer beauty was the bridal ring.
