Glorious Moon in the mysterious sky

Look at you on the wane tonight

Why are you fading now look me in the eye

Would you not share your present plight?

Are you shying away from the incessant prying

Of savage poachers and the hearts malign

From all the voices that reach you sweeting

Would you care to listen to mine?

Look around you all the stars gleaming

And Donning her headband Venus does stride

Sigh! your sorrow not at all befitting

Would you forever with gaiety glide?
