A Glance

A glance at you and another one,
I kept glancing till my eyes weren’t done
You weren’t familiar, neither exceptionally smart
But to my eyes, you seemed like an outstanding piece of art
I fumbled upon some words, trying to describe my state of mind
Couldn’t find many, the cupid isn’t that kind
Harder to figure than the hardest riddle
My thoughts were running in spirals with you in the middle
I had my guards up, knew what was coming
Another loo
k at you and the guards went down,
And back to you, came my thoughts running
You were smiling and I was smiling too
You, probably because of something else
But I, because every road my mind took lead to you
I knew what was it, this feeling was not unknown,
Was I really attracted to you?
Or was I just alone...
It was the latter, I would’ve bet
But looked at you again and knew
I had fallen in love
The very moment our eyes had met...
