A Beautiful Rainy Day

A beautiful rainy day...

The Koel Cuckooed,

The trees swayed,

I looked out of my window

Folded my hands to pray

Dear God, Please oh Please,

Do wash all sorrows away.

I could hear a peacock in the distance,

The wet Earth smelt so sweet,

The cool breeze brushed against my face,

My senses were in for a treat.

The raindrops fell… Oh so softly,

The trees were clean and green.

The flowers spread their fragrance,

To each and every being.

Oh Mother Nature, how good to see you heal,

With your blessing, how joyful we feel.

My heart is filled with gratitude and glee,

Dear Nurturer of all, I am forever Grateful to thee.
