Episode 38 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla starts with Shoorpnkha going to her brother Khar and complaining about Ram and Lakshman cutting off her nose and ears. She wants revenge and wishes to drink fresh foaming blood of Ram, Sita and Lakshman. Khar is furious that someone dared to do inflict injuries on his sister. He dispatches fourteen ferocious rakshas along with Shoorpnkha. The fourteen deadly demons are ordered to kill Ram, Sita and Lakshman so that Shoorpnkha can drink their fresh blood. They reach the cottage of Ram. In a very brief battle, Ram kills all the fourteen demons. Shoorpnkha is shocked. She rushes back to Khar and informs him about the surprising turn of events. She cajoles Khar to fight Ram and Lakshman. Khar treats it as a matter of prestige for the Rakshas clan. He orders his brother and the chief of army, Dooshan, to get the army marching with a single objective of killing Ram, his brother and his wife. Fourteen thousand soldiers march ahead along with horses, chariots and elephants. Ram sends Lakshman along with Sita to a nearby cave and fights the entire army all alone. In a fierce battle that lasts less than a day, Ram kills the entire army along with the chiefs Khar and Dooshan. Death of Khar and Dooshan, Ravan’s brothers, pleases all the munis and rishis who come there to bless Ram.  (Ref. Chapters 19-30 Aranya Kand, Shreemad Valmikiy Ramayan)
