New You

I was born in a poor middle-class family. My pecuniary condition was very miserable. I couldn't continue my higher studies after graduation to quench my thirst to learn more. My career was first class in school and college. After completing graduation with Distinction I was forced to seek a job for maintenance of our family. 

Fortunately, I got a job in RRB as a manager and took retirement in 2015.

Starting from my school career, I had a positive craving for literature. I had written a poem in Odia 

"Phula pari hebi ki mu sate "which was published in school magazine and liked by all. My school friends and teachers inspired and motivated me to go on writing more and more. My joy knew no bounds. In my college career two of my stories ie "The Temple, The Deity and The Devotee "A Great Banyan Tree "were published in college magazine. The two stories were appreciated by all my friends and lecturers of the college. They motivated me to keep it up. I felt exhilarated and went on writing poems and stories both in English and Odia more and more. 

While serving in the bank, I developed this habit of writing. Once a manager colleague requested me to write poems and stories on spiritualism for his spiritual magazine "Gita Sandesh "being published quarterly. Since my writings were liked by readers and appreciated more by friends and colleagues, I have never looked back but went on writing more and more. I have received a letter of appreciation from various literary and cultural institutions. I have been honoured by many institutions. One of my books came to light in the cultural function of KIT Bhubaneswar organised by Hon'ble Achyut Samant, and Kadambini Patrika Hat. Further another book on Veda "Adhyatmika Gyan "came to light by the spiritual saints and Gurus of Arya Samaj on its annual function day  at Kanpur of Cuttack district. Another spiritual book "Atma Gyan Labha "is in the pipeline for publiction. But due to COVID -19endemic the work is being delayed. 

Further, Story Mirror has designated me as a" literary Colonel "for my contributions to the field of literature. I have also received a letter of appreciation and honor from Story Mirror through email recently. 

Now I am a senior citizen and being dragged to the spiritual line more and more so far my writing is concerned. I am posting some of my writings on FaceBook also which are not applicable to Story Mirror for submission.
