Once upon a time there lived a girl named Riya who lived in a village and belonged to a poor family. She wanted to study but her father did not have enough money for his daughter's admission and to deposit her fee.

One day a competition was organized for the poor children in the village, which was judged by the Principal of a school. The one who could answer five questions correctly had a chance to get free admission in school. The questions were related to that village.

Riya decided to participate in the competition. She planned to keep it a secret said to her father, "Dad I am going to my friend's house and will return by evening." Her father agreed and she went out. The children were nervous but she was confident. Soon the competition began. One by one principal asked questions to all and it was Riya's turn at the end.

The first question was, "How many trees are there in our village?" She replied, "The number of leaves in a tree are as many trees in the village." Hearing this the principal was astonished. The second question was, "How deep is the well in the village?" To this Ria answered, "the well is as deep as our thinking." After listening this the Principal understood that the girl is very intelligent. The next question was, "How many houses are there in the village?" Riya said, "two." "Which are those?" Principal asked, to which Riya replied, "there are two living houses in this village, one is sarpanch's pucca house and our kachcha house."

The Principal asked in surprise, "From which book did you get the answers to these questions?" "No book, I have no book," said Riya. "So where did you get these answers?" asked Principal. Riya replied in a confident way, "I got the answers from nature."

Listening to this Principal declared her the winner of the competition. All the villagers clapped for her and her family was proud and held their head high in front of the villagers. She got scholarship and pursued her education in a good school.
